One of two horse carts, owned by Shorty Bedhisi, parked on the corner of Grand Street and 7th Street. They were used for transporting
fruit and vegetables and also for general cartage in Marabastad. Motor vehicle wheels and tires replaced the original wooden-spoke
wheels. The horses were taken down to the Apies River to be washed and brushed and then left to graze in open veld north of Boom Street
in the Schoolplaats area.
